Since
1983, Gateshead Civic Walking Club
has organised fellwalks in the mountains of the Lake District, Howgill Fells, North
Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Cheviot Hills, Pennines and the
Highlands of Scotland. Regretfully the ever-rising costs
associated with hiring a minibus for events have resulted in Committee deciding to recomend to
members that the Club be 'disolved'. A General Meeting will be called as
soon as possible in order to consider this proposal.
